MLK to Utica Public Library

MLK first-grade students in Mrs. Karam's and Miss DelGrego's classes visited the Utica Public Library this week. Students received a tour of the library, participated in a craft, enjoyed story time with children's librarian Amanda Stewart and explored the children's section to see the books and toys available.

About 18 students signed up for their own library cards and learned how to check out books when visiting the library with their families. The Utica Public Library offers many free resources and activities for students and their families, and the district is grateful for its continued cooperation and support. The library helps support Utica City School District's goal of ensuring students gain the knowledge, skills and character needed to become productive citizens.
